I am a curator, writer, researcher, and artist living and working in Portland, OR, and am devoted to supporting experimental film and artists’ cinema. Since Fall 2008, I have been a member and subsequent Co-Director (2011) of Cinema Project, a curatorial collective that programs artists’ moving-image work and marginalized cinema in a variety of venues in Portland, Oregon. In that capacity I have curated and coordinated dozens of film and video screenings and public events with the desire to create a thoughtful and exploratory experience for both the artists and audiences. A frequent collaborator for PICA’s Time Based Arts festival, I have produced single-channel screenings as well as multimedia installations and performances on behalf of Cinema Project. My independent curatorial projects have been presented at the Northwest Film Center in Portland, at BOZAR in Brussels, Belgium, and online through the Echo Park Film Center’s Marvelous Movie Mondays blog. In 2014, I was awarded the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts Curatorial Fellowship, allowing me to research artist-run film labs in France, Germany, and Belgium. Currently, I am the Education Programs Manager at the Northwest Film Center and am an occasional guest lecturer on experimental film at Portland State University.
